So what happens in this issue?
Master is startled to find his supposedly inanimate stuffed cat has arrived safely in Switzerland.
Author's comment:
Unlucky thirteen and a terrible pun. The issue is named after a Robert
Heinlein novel I've never read. I do intend to read it at some point.
My parents I presume and hope have a very 'traveled' paperback edition
in their room somewhere. Regardless this issue marks my first physical
appearance in the overall Cat and Cthulhu narrative. Something I still
have immense reservations about doing because it opens up the horrible
gateway that lets me be more blog like and indeed take on special
powers within the stories.
Which is something I don't intend.
Unless of course it is really funny.
Or some other arbitrary exception to the general rule of I don't
appear I can think of and not get my head kicked in for.
This is also a fairly accurate description of the accommodation I was
living in whilst I lived in Switzerland (I'm back in the UK now). Most
of the descriptions for realistic objects (people, places, items) are
based on actual tangible things. I was the one responsible for the
broken window! I got rather excited that friends were arriving for a
BBQ and closed it too quickly causing it to well er break.
My comment is almost as long as the written issue. Expect this to be
the normal course of events for the near future. I have a lot to talk
about when it comes to certain issues because honestly a lot goes into
them. Even if it is not a lot of thought and pure reflex to my current
surroundings.
Producer's comment:
Somehow I doubt U2's song of the same name had little to do with a stuffed Cat on it's quest to find his tentacled companion. I tried to do an impression of the real-life 'Master' (Will) but failed to quite get it. I do have however a couple of recordings of his voice but have been forbidden from publishing those... for now. I'll be proactising my impressions for the next issue however! ;)
I've finally come up with a design for a C&C t-shirt. I'll be making a separate dedicated post sometime in the very near future so stay tuned!
